where to eat in Bali
Hey guys!
Where to eat in Bali? Here you’ll find a little collection of the places my boyfriend and I enjoyed the delicious & fresh food of Bali. Which one is your favourite?
Sanur
Nu Lazer
Nu Lazer in Bali is a Night Club, a Restaurant and a Bar where you can enjoy your cocktails as well as your food whilst listening to really good live music. From Friday to Sunday they offer a super delicious all-you-can-eat menu. You get a list with different meals from which you can order. All the dishes will be served on very small platters. Like this you get the chance to try out everything!
The Owl
The Owl is a small Cafe and Restaurant which offers mouthwatering meals during the whole day. We found this small bistro while strolling trough Sanur. It was about three or four o’clock in in the afternoon and we had an appetite for something small and fresh.
Zenso Restaurant
The gourmet restaurant of our accommodation The Samata (a member of LifestyleRetreats). By the way, if you love dining in your room as much as we do, they offer this as well with no extra charge! 😛
Nusa Dua
Faces Restaurant
Another delicious place to eat! Whilst sippin on our daily fresh smoothies we admired the beautiful architecture of the whole accommodation The Balé where we stayed at (another member of LifestyleRetreats).
In the privacy of your own villa they offer as well their mouthwatering dishes and bring everything to your room with a single finger snap!
Jimbaran
AKUA
Even though we loved the balinese cousine we missed our european dishes.. So once we had the desire for some spanish tapas and went to AKUA. The owner even guided us around his little gem! Unfortunately we missed the sunset, otherwise THIS is the place to be!
Cuca Flavor
One of the best fusion restaurants we’ve been to! The menus are amazing. What I loved most: the not too big portions so you could try even more different dishes! 😀 They play around with so many spices, different colors and cook with lots of passion, we simply couldn’t get enough..
West Bali
Bali Tower Resto
Where you can enjoy your dishes in the middle of the jungle! If you climb up to the peak, you have a great view over the whole West Bali National Park.
Pantai Resto
That’s been a pleasure! Whilst the waves of the ocean slowly passed by enjoyed our breakfast. Everybody is relaxed and happy there. No need for worries. And the food and beverage is just perfectly delicious.
Suma Restaurant
Make sure to be there before the sun sets! Unfortunately we missed it.. but still the view was amazing. You see all the lights of the cities and villages shine bright in the dark!
You can read the daily changing menu on the black board. If you have some special requests the chef will try to fulfill your wishes at his best.
Warung Tepi Sawah
Perfect location! As it is located just in the middle of the rice fields you can enjoy both, delicious and cheap food as well as a great view!
Seminyak
Rayjin
Ever tried Japanese teppanyaki in such an authentic location? You’ll be warmly welcomed by the whole team. Beside the welcome-call there’s also one for saying good-bye and enjoy-your-meal. From the first second on we enjoyed our stay. The food by the way is superb! A must-try is definitely the tiger-prawns with broccoli!
Warung Siam
Before I did not know what “Phat Thai” is exactly. But by now. I love it – Especially the one from Warung Siam! If you like veggies, fried eggs and stir fried rice noodles combined with fish sauce, garlic and shallots, lime wedges and often chopped roast peanuts you feel with me!
Kreol Kitchen
Super delicious food for a low budget! Kreol Kitchen serves beside balinese dishes a huge variety of food from around the world. Don’t be afraid to try something you had never before. It’s worth it and you sure as hell won’t regret it!
The Fat Turtle
After spending a half day at the beach tanning a fresh and delicious watermelon-salad and -juice was the best decision ever 😀
Bamboo Restaurant
Before our spa treatment we enjoyed a healthy meal at The Amala (full post about this accommodation you’ll find here – another member of LifestyleRetreats).
Meja Restaurant
Located in the heart of Seminyak. At night there’s even a live-band playing good music to the mouthwatering dishes! The Meja Restaurant belongs to the IZE, another member of LifestyleRetreats.
Nalu Bowls
Why Nalu Bowls you ask? Inspired by Hawaii and the culture that revolves around surfing and tropical ingredients. It is the perfect pre and post surf meal with each bowl named after their favorite waves from around the world! My favourite: MAVERICKS with some extra mango!
Canggu
Eden Cafe
Did I already mentioned that I am a smoothie-bowl-addict? If not you’ll find my last blogpost about it here 🙂 Beside fruity dishes, you’ll get more and more healthy stuff here! For example fresh fish with cauliflower-fried-rice!
Strawberry Fields
My favorite place to have dinner and drinks! The food and beverage is simply amazing. But let’s talk about THE LOCATION! I’ve never seen such a cool interior at a restaurant. Even on the toilet you’ll spend some extra minutes just to see all the posters on the wall and the jewellery on the floor and in the bathroom sinks. The bar is filled with luminous liquors and green plants. If you feel the need for playing billiard, go ahead!
Kuta
Eko Cafe
What’s better than having the opportunity to eat breakfast ALL DAY? Right. Having breakfast all day at the Eko Cafe! Freshly made smoothie-bowls and toasted bread topped with avocado are just two delicious dishes from their big variety!
Gong Restaurant
Gong serves a mouth-watering selection of signature dishes from South East Asia and other parts of the world with a daily changing choice of specials! As we stayed in the accommodation The Santai (look up my latest post about it here – another member of LifestyleRetreats) we had the opportunity to deliver the food as well to our private villa!
On our last day we discovered the spiced flavors of Bali whilst attending a balinese cooking class!
