The Samata – quiet little paradise

We arrived in Bali around 9pm in the evening at the airport of Denpasar. Our first stop and where we would spend our first two nights in Bali was The Samata managed by Lifestyle Retreats. Welcomed by delicious, fresh and fruity drinks!

The Samata is one of their newest accommodations in the beachside location of Sanur in the east of Bali. The ambience there is very relaxed and quiet, since it is away from the crowded and touristy spots such as Kuta or Seminyak.
Most of the time during our stay we spent at one of their three pools. Overlooking the rice fields and soaking up the sun was the best thing we could have done after our long journey. Even the beach is nearby and is possible to reach easily by foot.

However, if you feel the need to do something different and get active The Samata also has a lot to offer. They have a fully equipped gym including a boxing ring to get rid of the last bit of stress and a lovely spa to have your daily massage for deep relaxation moments. All this followed by a session of yoga classes in their spacious yoga studio or a match on the tennis court. The fitness opportunities are rounded up by their healthy cuisine with lots of gluten free options and many vegetarian dishes.

From our Ocean View Suite, we had an incredible overview of the resort’s main pool area, the villas, followed by the greenest rice fields and of course the blue ocean which was absolutely amazing. A giant balcony including a day bed was everything I needed to give me the feeling of an isolated, relaxing and quiet paradise. Our room was incredibly spacious! Especially the bathroom which contained a huge rain shower, a bath tub and a big dressing table. A king size bed with transparent-white curtains, protecting us from the mosquitoes.

The little added extras were great. Even the Airport Pickup as well as local Sanur drop-off’s, whenever we felt like heading into the town, were included.

Everyone working there was friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay. Always willing to answer questions and have a chat. They definitely made our time there more comfortable and enjoyable.

On our second morning we were supposed to join the Sunrise Walk Tour together with SweetEscape. We got up at 5 o’clock in the morning but unfortunately there were too many clouds up in the sky we had to skip it.. Still we made our photo shooting with Shelby Nugroho at different spots of the accommodation area.

The design of this resort is pure which blends in perfect with its green agricultural surroundings. While we stayed in the Ocean View Suite, there are also a number of one and two bedroom Villas including a private pool on the premises at The Samata.
