Acai and Smoothie Bowls
After I posted another homemade smoothie bowl on Instagram I got asked a lot about my recipe. Questions like what kind of fruits do you put inside? How do you get that creamy texture? and so on..
So I decided to ask you guys via Instastory if you’d be interested in a new blog post about how I make my Acai and Smoothie Bowls. And the result was clear! 85% want to know it!
So here we go (:
so here we have the ingredients:
- frozen fruits (I usually take a cup full of blue- and raspberries but you can take whatever you like your smoothie bowl should taste like)
- 1 fresh banana
- 1 to 2 decilitres milk of your choice ( I love to use coconut or almond milk)
- optional: nut butter (I use a teaspoon of cashew butter), acai or other superfood powder, protein powder, honey or agave to sweeten your bowl
- toppings: granola (I use homemade granola since I do not want to have any sugar in it and I like it roasted. If I do not have the time to prepare it beforehand I use the granola from Foodspring.com.), nuts, seeds and dried fruits as well as fresh fruits
- ENJOY <3
Mix all your ingredients for your base in your blender. Be careful with the amount of your milk! Start with a little and just add if necessary. Otherwise, you will not get a creamy texture for your smoothie bowl.
To store my nuts, seeds and dried fruits I re-use my smoothie-jars which I bought earlier. This way, I do not have to buy plastic and storage boxes. Also, I use less plastic.
Always try to use seasonal fresh fruits to top your bowls.
